My 14 year-old daughter and I will be co-hosting this informal discussion on teens and sex. We will cover topics such as:

How much do I tell my kids about sex and when?

What can I do to help them have healthy and pleasurable experiences?

Is abstinence really an answer?

How do I help my kids navigate consent?

What if I don’t have the skills to talk to my kids about sex, where can I get help and resources?

Guasha Course for the Public

Inner Ocean Healing Centre

Thursday, July 27 – 7:00 – 8:30pm

Are you an athlete, or have a lot of forearm, wrist or leg tension.  Come learn some simple gusha techniques to work on your own body.

Guasha therapy is traditionally a modality used by practitioners of Chinese medicine. It is used to clear ‘chi’ blockages in specific energy pathways of the body. Guasha is becoming more mainstream in the past few years and the tools and practices are included in many types of healing treatments.

It is especially effective at treating fascial adhesions which include things like Dupeytran’s contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, IT band syndrome, and plantar fasciitis… It can also be helpful in treating types of inflammatory conditions, where fluid is getting stuck in certain areas of the body.

The tools used are made either of animal horn or stone, and often a special herb infused oil is spread on the area first to promote healing and cleansing. The feeling can be intense or relaxing depending on the amount of blockage in the area.

A plastic or horn tool is included with your course.  Jade tools are available for a fee.
